Senate Bill 131
AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ARIZONA STATE SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF AND BLIND AND AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE FROM THE BOND RETIREMENT FUND OF THE ARIZONA STATE SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF AND BLIND.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION; PURPOSES
In addition to the funds authorized for expenditure by the terms of section 2, the sum of one hundred ninety five thousand dollars is appropriated to the Arizona state school for the deaf and blind for the following purposes:
Dormitory building and furnishings
for state school at Tucson Classroom building and furnishings
for Phoenix day school
Additional land for Phoenix day school

Sec. 2. AUTHORIZED EXPENDITURE

The Arizona state school for the deaf and blind is authorized to expend the sum of three hundred thousand five hundred dollars from the bond retirement fund of the Arizona state school for the deaf and blind to be used in partial payment of the purposes pre scribed by the terms of section 1.
Sec. 3. EXEMPTIONS
The authorized expenditure from the bond retirement fund and the appropriation made under the terms of section 1, shall not lapse until the purpose for which the appropriation is made shall have been accomplished or abandoned unless the appropriation shall have stood until January 1, 1972, without an expenditure therefrom or encumbrance thereon.
Sec. 4. EMERGENCY
To preserve the public peace, health and safety it is necessary that this act become immediately operative. It is therefore declared to be an emergency measure, to take effect as provided by law.
