Proclamation of the Women of the Charter One Hundred
To Our Most Distinguished Member
Sandra D. O’Connor

We, the proud members of Phoenix Chapter of the Charter 100, proclaim President Ronald Reagan’s appointment of Judge Sandra Day O’Connor as the first woman to serve on the United States Supreme Court the most significant honor to great women in the history of the United States.

We join the people of this fair nation in ringing the bells of destiny which are sounding out salutations to Sandra.

May Sandra’s allegiance to the future be that of perpetuating the same unique qualities which have echoed throughout the chambers of her life.

Therefore, in celebration of this treasured occasion we subscribe our names in friendship.
